KEVIN AND BETH'S WEDDING | BELLEVUE IDAHO | IDAHO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

weddingstessa sheehanComment

Kevin and Beth wanted a relaxed and joy-filled afternoon to share with their family, friends while both of their families came together to share their vows. Their autumn wedding in Bellevue, Idaho was colorful and celebrated the season of change with pumpkins and fallen leaves all around their arbor.

Their home is nested against a mountain and at the top there was a huge white water tower we climbed for some portraits overlooking the beautiful Wood River Valley. They’re both very active people so they scaled the mountain quickly and before long they were dancing on the top of the world, just the three of us, as I captured one of their first dances as a married couple!

Thank you both for having me capture your day and the love you have built in your beautiful family!

ROBBIE AND HANNAH'S WEDDING | RIVERSIDE WEDDING HAILEY IDAHO | IDAHO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I love an autumn wedding! The colors, the clouds, the temp outside, it’s all lends to a beautiful wedding experience. So when they shared their wedding details and date with me on our first consultation call, I knew their day would be a special one.

Robbie and Hannah met in August of 2019 and in fitting form for both of them, they decided on to meet for a hike as their first date. They’ve been at each other’s side ever since! Together they made the decision to get married two years later and planned a gorgeous and relaxed celebration and ceremony for their wedding in September 2021.

The wedding was held at a private home on the river in Hailey, Idaho followed with their reception at Robbie’s parents’ house and lush, beautiful garden his mother has cultivated for decades. An absolutely stunning setting for these lovers and their loved ones. Beautiful locally grown flowers by The Wild Flora Farm adorned the tables that were nestled into the corners of the garden. And as a final touch on the evening, they harvested blackberries from Robbie’s family’s cabin in Washington and used them to make homemade pies!

Robbie and Hannah embody a peaceful and playful love. They can’t help but smile at each other every time they catch an eye. It’s adorable. At our private portrait session, we were joined by the best man Scotty too, and it was a half hour of them giggling at each other and Robbie making Hannah laugh. I could have photographed them for hours, but alas they needed to join their family and friends at the beautiful reception they and their family had arranged in the garden.  I always wish I had more portrait time with my couples on wedding days hah!

Thank you Robbie and Hannah for including me in your sweet sweet day and experience!

GUS AND KRISTEN’S WEDDING | KETCHUM AND STANLEY IDAHO | IDAHO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I’ve known Gus since he was a tiny tike and I use to give him shoulder rides at a kids’ camp I worked at in high school. I watched him grow up into a perfect gentleman and now husband! When he introduced me to Kristen, I knew these two were in love and they couldn’t stop dotting on eachother, keeping each other warm during our engagement shoot, and he sense of family they’ve created is beautiful. Which brings us to their wedding day.

But some background first. Gus had invited her dad and stepmom to join them In Glacier National Park. Kristen had wanted to go for a long time and it had been on her bucket list. Gus planned a family hike to Avalanche Lake with Bentley, their son, her parents and at the end of the hike, he dropped to a knee, completely surprising Kristen, but surrounded with family Gus asked for her hand.

We had their engagement photo session in the winter 2020 in Hailey, Idaho alongside snow covered  riverbanks. It wasn’t warm, but it was fun, and since I’m a total dork when I’m  shooting, they spent a lot of time laughing and trying to make a tiny blanket keep them both warm. We snuck in a couple family photos with Bentley and their new puppy and Gus’ mom who’d joined us, because when in Rome!

Their wedding day started in Stanley, Idaho and the clouds hung low with threats of rain. The air was fresh and whipped up excitement for the whole wedding party as they got ready in cute little mini houses that looked over the Sawtooth Mountain range. Eventually the clouds did open up, with perfect timing they released the most  amazing lightning and thunder storm I’ve ever seen, just before the ceremony and we drove to the site of the ceremony. I remember lightning striking all around our cars as we drove, and then as if on a timer, it just stopped to let these two enjoy their party and promises to each other.

Wedding guests snuggled under a tent to watch Gus and Kristen make their vows to each other. And a grand party ensued, mixed of cowboys, puffy  jackets,  family, loved ones from near and far, and beautiful food by Rasberry’s in Ketchum. Everyone danced in the moonlight to the live band and continued into the night in the light of sparklers, smiles and cozy coats.

I love you these two and can’t wait to see your love and family grow over the years. Bentley is about the age Gus was when I met him. And I know Kristen and Gus will raise a perfect gentleman, filled with love, just like his parents :)

Congratulations Gus and Kristen (and Bentley)!
